Rev. Cal Bombay has been involved in overseas Christian Missions for over forty years. In that time he lived in Africa for seventeen years from 1962 to 1979. During that time he taught Bible College in Kenya, planted 23 churches in Uganda, and built and managed Evangel Publishing House in Kenya which became the largest Christian Publisher in Africa at the time. He also wrote a number of books and tracts for distribution in Africa. <link to Books by Cal Bombay> He maintains contacts with Missions and Missionaries worldwide, as well as National leaders within many countries.

He was director of Christian Multi-lingual Programming (CMP) which produced television programs in more than twenty languages, was Vice President of Missions with Crossroads Christian Communications Inc.(CCCI) for almost twenty-five years, and served CCCI, as the Director of a chain of twenty-three telephone prayer counselling centres across Canada. He was Director and founder of The Geoffrey R. Conway School of Broadcasting and Communications, and the Emergency Response and Development Fund (ERDF). Cal also created the World Harvest Evangelism and Television fund (WHEAT). He was Chaplain to the Ministry for many years. In his capacity as Vice-President of Missions with CCCI, he travelled to more than sixty-five countries of the world. He is fluent in Kiswahili, and has a lesser grasp of another dozen or so languages. Though his life has been threatened several times, he persists in his involvement in places such as Sudan <Link - Missions> See <Link - Books - Let My People Go> convinced of the biblical truth that “The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable” Cal Bombay continues to give his time and life to promoting and continuing to “Go into all the world!”.

Cal Bombay continued for a time as Consultant to the Missions Department of Crossroads Christian Communications Inc.

Consultancy is available to newly forming Missions Organisations, Local Churches planning to become more involved in Foreign Missions, as well as to individuals who want to research the most effective and specific investment of their resources in Missions through existing organizations.
